"Granny's Tea" - SOLD

I am going to try and use larger brushes again. Since I started painting on these smaller surfaces, I have been unconsciously using smaller brushes. I looked at some of my older/larger paintings and realized I would use much larger brushes. I think choosing the right size brush to make a mark is just as important as mixing the right value.

Aaron, I'm crazy about this one. It's got to be my favorite to date. I love the tensions created by the two circles (cup holders). The warm stripe anchors this beautiful composition.

Those two circles! And the wide squared off brush strokes--have a block of tea?----Nice one--Sue

great piece, i love the modelling. I definitely hear you about the brush size thing- that's what it's all about for me.
