"Compliments"

I have a group show coming up and this is a piece for it. This painting is a bit larger (12"x11") than I have done in a while, but it was a lot of fun. The crazy thing is this painting only took me slightly longer than my little ones. I can't think of a title for this one (working is not the title), any suggestions?

Hi Aaron,

This is lovely. I'm afraid I'm not good with names, but I really like it.

Take care,

Barbara

Your fruit seems to be fracturing every more thoroughly into its constituent angles! Is that an artistic progression, or something to do with where you get your groceries?

Aaron - this is one striking, dynamic composition. Best I've seen from you yet, considered purely in terms of composition. And the colors as well - that orange and yellow, the dark plum plums, the white salt. The pastel blotchy teal-taupe tarp. Look at those complementary diagonals! The slant of the salt is the coup de grace. This whole picture works.
Look at that left-side block of modulated darkness.

This is an outstanding canvas. You can't tell me you weren't grinning down the stretch on this one!

How about "Compliments" The orange and blue, the sweetness of the plum vs the salt. Just discovered your work by way of an amazing artist friend. Wow!

How about "plumb crazy",since they are kind of scattered. Maybe too much emphasis on the plumbs though...

Love your work. I'll be checking out your show at the Union Station Gallery.
