"Blue Glass" - SOLD

Blue glass, purple cloth...what more could you ask for? Well maybe a little more. I set this up and liked by the shadow cast by the cup. Still, looking at the painting now I could have, alternatively, gone with a slightly different composition. Maybe a diagonal shadow, but that's what tomorrow is for. :)

Hmm. I see your point. Nice job on the blue glass and the choice of colors of the objects seen through it. Perhaps the back fold of the cloth should be different...not there? It just seems that the composition needs to either be even simpler, or something needs to be added, like a touch of bright orange.

Ignorant person that I am....I like the colors as they contrast against each other.

Very cool (in all senses of the word!) painting this one. Hmmmm, maybe that horizontal wrinkle/shadow behind is a little unsettling, or.... maybe too settling.

Love your glasswork and your ability to stay "brushy"!
